Branding Website UI/UX Email Programs
Project Info
Updating an environmental event website to simplify user pathing and create a professional and delighting experience for grantees to sign up for events. Biodiversity Funders Group (BFG) is a small, niche organization who is focused on engaging the philanthropic community. Their function is to assess, engage, give support to environmental conservation, address climate change, and elevate the voices of front line communities.
While they updated their name, brand, and logo fairly recently, their key pieces of communications, website and email program, were out of date and need updating.
* My contribution to this project was through branding, website design, UI/UX and email program.

The Idea
We propose that BFG build a website that puts member and community communication at the forefront. Doing so, trims and streamlines their web presence and allows BFG to lean in on communicating news, creating events, and hosting programs. This is an integrated hub that connects your members with your work, with each other, and allows you all to interact with each other. The website itself would be simple, modular, and allow you to edit, update, and manage information simply through calendars, event tools, and news blogs. From information to design templates, everything would be streamlined and simple to use, no matter who is posting information from within the organization.

The work
Rebuilding the website from the ground up allowed us to focus on some organizational structure that the current build lacked. We were able to place members and community at the forefront of the site, thus trimming and streamlining a users movement through it. We were able to place the most important tools to BFG, email and events, at the forefront of the site as well and began the process of adding organizational structure that echoes through the email program, website, and event sign up.
I utilized a modular approach by assigning specific colors to Biodiversity Funders Group's categories. This strategy enhances ease of identification and usability in their new email program, ensuring users can intuitively recognize the appropriate category, whether they're reading emails or signing up for events.
BFG now offers a seamless, branded experience across all their events and programs. With the ability to effortlessly develop modular assets, they can build on the ongoing success of their email program. This enables users to quickly find events related to their interests, leading to higher member engagement and easier conversions.
